Sky set out to redesign the customer order journey for its multiscreen product, now rebranded as ‘Sky Q Experience’. The goal was to enable customers to subscribe directly via their TV using the Sky Q platform, while managing additional Mini box orders through a seamless, on-screen interface.

Customers could self-install additional Mini boxes, with all associated costs clearly itemised in their monthly billing statement within their account area on the platform.

  • Design Considerations

    • Customers able to add additional Mini boxes, with a clear visual indicator of boxes already owned and how many can still be ordered
    • With the first Mini box being subsidised, the costs of subsequent boxes must be outlined clearly to the customer
    • All one-off and monthly charges must be displayed in a structured, itemised billing view within the account area
    • Delivering an interface layout and navigation that works within the existing Sky Q design system and hardware remote capabilities
